Michael Kohler will be featured at recital
Michael Kohler, son of
Mr. and Mrs. W. Richard
Kohler, 35 East Main
Street, Mount Joy, will be
featured in an Organ/Vocal
Recital on Saturday after-
noon, July 24, 1976, at 4
p.m., in the Sanctuary of
St. Mark’s United Metho-
dist Church. He is present-
ly studying organ with Mr.
Gerald Miller who is the
organist of St. Mark’s
Church and he is a voice
student of Mrs. Marilyn
Miller who is choral direct-
or of the church. This fall
he is enrolled as a Music
Education Major at Leban-
on Valley College, Ann-
ville, PA.
The concert consists of
two organ selections: ‘‘Toc-
cata’ by Pachelbel and
“Nun Bitten Wir’’ by
Buxtehude. THe baritone
selections include a variety
of compositions, many of
them art songs, by a wide
range of composers. These
are ‘‘Dedicated’’ by Robert
Franz, ‘“When the Roses
Bloom’’ by Reichardt,
“The Daffodils’’ by Elson,
“If You Have Naught’’ by
de Rothschild, ‘‘How Love-
ly Are Thy Dwellings’ by
Marietta playground
activities last week
During the first two
weeks 126 children have
registered to participate in
Marietta playground activi-
ties.
Besides the regular acti-
vities each week, arts anc
crafts and special events
are provided for all age
groups. Swimming lesso.s
will be held during the last
two weeks of July. Parents
are reminded that each
Monday morning a permis-
sion slip and 30c is needed
in order to attend the free
swim Monday afternoon.
