re ‘Dyer July 7, 1976 MICHAEL MUELLER Michael J. Mueller, an 84-year-old retired Mount Joy florist, died Monday -evening at Whitehall Nurs- ing and Convalescent Cen- ter following a lengthy illness. Mueller, of 664 West Walnut Street, had lived in Lancaster for the past 15 years. He was formerly of Mount Joy. He had been a self- employed florist and had operated Mueller’s Flower Shop in Mount Joy for many years. He retired in 1960. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, he was the hus- band of Elizabeth Beyer Mueller, who died on June 20. His first wife, Lestie Walker Mueller, died in February, 1959. Born in Martic Township he was the son of the late George Michael and Louise Spahr Mueller. Surviving are two sons, Jay M. Mueller Sr., Mount Joy R2; and Warren G. Mueller, Elizabethtown; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles G. Muel- ler, Willow Street; and a sister, Rose Mueller, Strasburg. ROY WOLGEMUTH Roy E. Wolgemuth, a 45-year-old manager and part owner of a Mount Joy poultry firm, died Tuesday at 10 p.m., at his Mount Joy R1 home. He had been ill since January. Surviving, in addition to his widow and parents, are three t¢hildren, Jeffrey L., Mount Joy R1; Joan L. and Steven R., both at home. Also surviving are: one granddaughter; two sisters, and a brother, Marian L., wife of Jay H. Fasnacht, Allentown; Ardis M., wife of Cmdr. Leonard B. San- tos, Springfield, VA and Alvin E. Douglas, 84, formerly of 38 West Market Street, Marietta, died Thursday at 7:30 p-m., at Lehman’s Con- valescent Home, Rheems, following a one-month ill- ness. A retired employee of Wyeth Laboratories, Inc., Marietta, Mrs. Douglas was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Mari- etta, and the Senior Citi- zens Club of Marietta. The widow of Samuel S. Douglas, she was born in New York City, a daughter of the late John and Caroline Herbener Meister. Surviving are two sons, John Bostick, Allentown, and Benjamin Douglas, Ocean Grove, New Jersey; two daughters, Elaine, wife of Wilbur Fuhrman, Mari- etta R1, and Genevieve, wife of Henry Libhkart, Marietta R1; nine grand- children and 15 great- grandchildren. MARIE C. HARTER Marie C. Harter, 81, formerly of 14 North River Street, Maytown, died at Brookmont Acres Nursing Center in Effort, Monroe County, on Monday. Her death followed a two-year illness. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran - Church, Maytown, and the May- town Golden Age Club. She was a graduate of Susque- hanna University, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in music in 1916. Born in Maytown, she was a daughter of the late Dr. G. A. and Libbie Gaugler Harter. She was a member of Mount Joy Business and Professional Women’s Club, Donegal Society, and a life member of the National Education Association and PA State Education Association. She was secretary of Camp Hill Cemetery Association of Mount Joy and belonged to the Lan- caster County Library Association, PA School Librarians Association, National Retired’ Teachers Association and National , Association of Retired Civil Employees. She was the wife of John H. Geyer. Born in Florin, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Matilda Weidman Landvater. Surviving is her hus- band, at home.
