Parent group gives one acre plot
to Donegal School District
A deed
ground of approximately
one acre in size was given
to the Donegal School Dis-
trict. The plot is located to
the rear of the Grandview
Schoal and was purchased
to a plot of
by the Parent-Teacher
Group of that school.

Summer
DHS band
rehersal
The first band rehearsal
of the summer will be held
this Thursday evening,
June 24, from 7 to 9:30
p.m., in the band room at
Donegal High School. All
members are asked to
attend.
Students who do not
have white buck shoes and
are interested in purchas-
ing some may contact Mr.
Elwood Mateer at 653-1065.

Johnson to leave Marietta
Dr. Bertram L. Johnson,
a general practioner in
Marietta, will close his
office at 136 West Market
Street, as of June 26. The
doctor will begin a resi-
dency in internal medicine
at Jefferson Medical Col-
lege, from which he was
graduated in 1970. He

plans to continue studies in
cardiology.
Dr. Johnson has been a
member of the active
medical staff of the Colum-
bia Hospital and St.
Joseph’s Hopital as well as
the courtesy medical staff
of General Hospital, Lan-
caster.
Dr. Johnson says he en-
joyed his work here but,
‘‘certification will soon be a
must so I want to get
started.’’
Mrs. Johnson, the form-
er Kay Reiff, and the
couple’s three children will
reside in Columbia for the
present.
