Wolgemuth at Johns Hopkins June Wolgemuth has been accepted as a special student for the 1976-77 academic year in the Inter- national Health Program at The John Hopkins Univer- sity, Baltimore, MD in the School of Hygiene and Public Health. She will specialize in the planning of health care services for developing countries. Ms. Wolgemuth is cur- rently enrolled at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY as a Ph.D. degree candidate. Her year of special study will be sponsored by the Babcock Chair of Food Economics of Cornell University. Her areas of study at Cornell include agricultural economics and in‘ernational nutrition. She received a B.S. degree from Drexel Univer- sity in Philadelphia and a M.N.S. (Master of Nutri- tional Science) from Cornell University under a National Institude of Health trainee- ship. After earning the Masters degree, she was employed by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacks- burg, VA in both the departments of biochemis- try and of nutrition. During that time Ms. Wolgemuth served as a special consultant on loan to the U.S. Agency for International Development in Manila, Philippines for close to one year following the devastating typhoon of the summer of 1972. She has also had exten- sive professional exper- ience in Africa and Latin America serving as a health program evaluator and educational expert. While in residence at VPI/SU she designed -in five courses related to international health and nutrition teaching at both the graduate and under- graduate levels. Ms. Wolgemuth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Wolgemuth of Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy, PA and the granddaughter of Mrs. Katie Geib of the same address. G. Nell, J. Sipling win Vo-tech awards The three Lancaster County Area Vocational Technical Schools in Brownstown, Mount Joy, and Willow Street have given 41 awards to 38 seniors from 15 County Schools.
