Charles Geesey, son of Mrs. Marian Geesey, Marietta RD1, was honored at a special farewell service at Congregational Bible Church Sunday night, May 30. Mr. Geesey preached the Page 4 - SUSQUEHANNA TIMES sermon and he and his wife, Lucille, and their five children were present for a time of fellowship and refreshments following the service. They will be living in Sangre Grande, a city of 20,000 people. This city, along with many other cities and villages in Trini- dad, has no gospel preach- ing witness. Congregational Bible Church honors family A special prayer of dedication for the Geeseys was offered by Pastor Emeritus John S. Hiestand. During the prayer, Pastor James Reapsome and members of the church council stood at the front of the church around the Geesey family. Mr. Geesey was born and raised in Marietta. He studied at Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, and has served with Christian mis- sion organizations in Michi gan and West Virginia. He is one of eleven children. His brothers Joseph and Kenneth live in Marietta; James, William and Paul live in Elizabeth- town, and Merle lives in Mount Joy. His sisters are Mrs. Emma Irwin, Lancaster, Mrs. Marian Sholly, Mount Joy RD 1, Mrs. Jane Weibley, Columbia RD2, and Mrs. Grace Mellott, Williamsport. Mr. Geesey’s father, Merle passed away 12 years ago.
