Page 18 - SUSQUEHANNA TIMES “Girls of months”’’ honored by BPW “Then and Now’ was the topic of the program for the Mount Joy Business and Professional Women’s Club, held Monday night in Hostetters Banquet Hall. Mrs. James Heilig, chair- person of the personal development committee, introduced the ‘‘girls of the month.’’ Each girl repre- sented one year in the BPW’s history. Each girl returned as an honored guest and gave a resume of her career. Mrs. Clayton Bell offered the Invocation. Reports on the Hobby and Craft show held May 22 and 23 at the Donegal High School were given. Thanks were expressed to everyone who contributed to the planning and cul- mination of the project which was the kick-off event for the Mount Joy Bicentennial week obser- vance. Proceeds from the craft show will benefit the many projects of the or- ganization and the Bicen- tennial celebration. Mrs. John Fry, presi- dent, announced that the next meeting, entitled “BPW Heritage’', will be held June 28, and will be arranged by the Member- ship committee with Mrs. June Whalen, chairperson. Officers for the next term will be installed. The club will present a $500 scholar- ship to the winner at the annual commencement ex- ercises at Donegal High School and it will enter its directory in the Bicentenni- al Capsule, which will be opcned SO years in the future.
