Donegal Society plans
Two speakers for the
Donegal Society’s 63rd An-
nual Reunion, June 17,
1976 were born in the
British Isles.
The morning speaker is
the Reverend J. Ernest
Sommerville, born in Glas-
gow, Scotland, Minister of
the First Presbyterian
Church in Philadelphia,
21st and Walnut Streets.
The afternoon speaker is
Dr. Eric A. Walker, born in
England, President Emeri-
tus of th Pennsylvania
State University and a
director of Armstrong Cork
Company.
Other parts of the pro-
gram include the dedication
of an oak tree to honor the
late Samuel R. Slaymaker,
Sr., former President of
Donegal Society.
The newly restored study
house and museum will be
opened to the public and
will feature an historical
sketch by the Donegal
June 2, 1976
reunion June 17th
Players.
A luncheon will be
served under the great
oaks of Donegal Springs
with musical selections by
the Youth Choir of Donegal
Church.
The ‘‘Witness Tree’’ will
be covering all of this
during the annual 63rd
reunion of the Donegal
Society starting at 11 a.m.,
June 17, Donegal Springs,
Lancaster County.
