Mount Joy Township
supervisors hired Daniel-C.
Gohn, Mount Joy, and Her-
bert McNally, Elizabeth-
town, R.D. #1 as sewer
enforcement officer and
zoning officer, respectively.
They will replace Armand
Fieni, who quit for personal
reasons.
In other business the
supervisors:
—approved a donation to
the Elizabethtown and
Mount Joy Libraries for
$500 each,
—decided they did not need
Revenue Sharing advisory
service offered by the
government.
—discussed the answering
service now in use in the
township and decided it will
remain the same as before.
—approved the computer
billing of tax bills with the
suggestion from a resident
““to check into the costs for
further study and the
possibility of not heeding a
tax collector.”” The town-
ship’s cost was $321.00 with
equal billing costs shared
with the County.
A discussion of the
ownership of Sager Road
and Sager Lane was held
and the township super-
visors learned there is a
difference of opinion on the
question. Mr. Oliver Sager
says the township owns the
property and the township
said they have no record the
roads were ever turned over
to them. Charles Bailey, Jr.,
chairman of the Authority,
said he was informed the
authority would need right-
of-ways for the sewer
project, and that seemed to
be the answer. However,
the situation will be looked
into by the owners of a
property there, hopefully, to
discover who really owns
Sager Road and Lane. The
owners of the property
claim they cannot sell their
property until the question
is settled.
