The Mount Joy Lions Club, at their April meeting,
honored Meals on Wheels, and had Elizabethtown
Lions and Marietta Lions as guests. The local Lions
(and their Lionesses) put on quite a show for their
visitors by dressing up in their Bicentennial outfits for
the dinner at Hostetter’s Dining Hall. Shown above are
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sprecher. Below are Mr. and Mrs.

Forest Fire Crew
to hold fish derby
Elizabethtown and Mount
Joy Forest Fire Crew3 will
hold its first fish derby, May
23, 1976 at the Mount Joy
cove starting at 2 p.m. till 4
p-m., which is located at the
Mount Joy Water Works.
The fish derby is open to the
age of 1S years of age and
under. Their will be two age
groups consist of 9 thru and
included 15 years of age,
and also a group 8 years of
age and under. Prizes will
be awarded to the following
age groups.

The rules consist of:
1. Report the first fish
caught to the registration
area, both age group.
2. Report the first eight
(8) - fish caught to the
registration area, both age
group.
3. The smallest fish
caught in eight age group
will be measured at the end
of the derby.
4. The largest fish caught
will be the grand prize, for
one age group 15 years of
age and under, it will also be
measured at the end of the
derby.
The derby is under the
direction of Raymond E.
Heisey, a member with the
Forest Fire Crew.
Employment Bureau
announces figures
The Lancaster Office of
the Bureau of Employment
Security announced last
week that unemployment
in Lancaster County fell to
6.0% in March, 1976, down
from a recent high of 7.5%
last July.
The overall unemploy-
ment rate for the state was
8.2%, down from a high of
9.8% last August.
