Farm Womens’ Society Easter meeting

Farm Women's Society #8
met at the home of Mrs.
Eloise Rentzell, Bainbridge
R#1, on April 17th at 2 p.m.
Twenty one members and
two visitors attended. Mrs.
Grace Bixler, President was
in charge of the meeting.
Mrs. Anna Risser had de-
votional time and read
scripture relating to Easter.
The minutes were read by
Mary Grace Martin, Secret-
ary. ‘Members mentioned
vacation trips which they
found interesting as Roll
Call response was given.
The main feature of the
afternoon was an interesting
slide presentation by Kath.
ryn Erb and Arline Witman.
These pictures were taken
as they enjoyed a previous
trip to Alaska, sponsored by
the Farm Women. Numer-
ous artifacts were shown
which they brought with
them.
The Ways and Means
Committee announced that
this Society is planning to
have a food booth at the
farm sale of Elizabeth
Guthridge , Marietta R#1, on
May 3rd at 6 p.m.
Donation will be made to
Deborah Hiestand who
plans to help with an airstrip
project in Brazil.
There is some space on
the bus going to the Spring
Rally at Gettysburg on May
12th. There are no more
luncheon tickets available.
The St. Joseph’s Hospital
Mobile Unit is the County
Project. Refreshments were
served by hostesses Eloise
Rentzell, Hettie Ginder,
Vera Frey, Anna Risser, and
Ada Kraybill.
The next meeting will be
held May 15th at 2 p.m., in
the Lutheran Church, May-
town.
