FOR A REQUIREMENT OF
A HANDRAIL ON CER-
TAIN STAIRWAYS IN
BUILDING WITHIN THE
BOROUGH
BE IT ENACTED AND
ORDAINED by the Council
of the Borough of Marietta,
PA, and it is hereby enacted
and ordained as follows:
SECTION I. The Marietta
Borough Housing Ordinance
known as Ordinance 69-7,
being the Ordinance of May
13, 1969, is hereby amended
by adding the following nev
Section:
Section 7.3.1--Every stair-
way of more than three
steps or with a rise in
elevation of four or more
feet shall have a safe,
permanent, sturdy, and
useable handrail located
along at least one edge of
the stairway.
SECTION II. All other
portions of Ordinance 69-7,
the Marietta Borough Hous-
ing Ordinance, as amended,
are hereby ratified and
affirmed.
