Umpire clinic to start

An umpire training clinic
for boys and girls over 16
years of age, will be
conducted by a staff headed
by Banks Wagner, Marietta,

Association. ‘‘The main
purpose of the clinic is to
update the officiating of
small girls and midget-mid-

mer,’ said Jerry Cranford,
chairman of the umpire
committee. He also said he
wanted to ‘‘give some
youths who have outgrown
the baseball program a
chance to earn some mon-
ey.’ Anyone interested in
joining the training session
should contact either Wag-
ner at 426-3748 or Cranford,
W. Market St., Marietta.

a $2.00 registration fee, for
which the player receives a

conducted the session held
March 11 in the Community
House. He appointed a
