MYO elects Leas ’76 president
The Maytown Youth Or-
ganization elected its 1976
officers last week.
They are: John Leas,
president; Jay Hoover, vice-
president; Elaine Kraus,
secretary; and Fran Drace,
treasurer.
Registration for the May-
town baseball and softball
team will be held Thursday,
March 11, at 7 p.m. and
Saturday, March 13, at 1
p.m.
Anyone between the ages
of 8 and 16 can sign up. A
$2.00 per child insurance fee
is required.
The MYO is sponsoring a
recored hop on March 27 at
the Maytown Legion Hall at
7 p.m. Admission is $.50.
Refreshments will be avail-
able.
MYAA plans summer activities
At the regular monthly
meeting of the Marietta
Youth Athletic Association,
Registration Committee
Chairman, John Anderson
announced that registration
dates for the 1976 baseball
season will be March 27th,
April 3rd, and April 24th,
from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the
Marietta Community
House. Those eligible to
register are boys ages 8 to
16 and girls, 8 to 21.
A reminder—those regis-
tering for the first time mus:
have their birth certificate
with them.
Jerry Cranford, vice-
president, presided at the
meeting and announced that
there will be an umpire
training session for midget-
midget and little girls games
this year. Banks Wagner
will conduct the training for
anyone at least 17 years old
who is interested in learning
umpiring. Details are avail-
able from Jerry Cranford.
The next meeting will be
held Thursday, March 11, at
the Marietta Community
House, 7:30 p.m.
Maytown aux. announces plans
The Ladies Auxillary of
the Maytown Fire Company
has announced their plan-
ned activities for the next
few months.
A rummage sale will be
held March 25-26.
A sub and steak sale is
scheduled for April 10.
A Mother’s Day turkey
dinner will be held on May 9
at 3p.m.
On June 20, the Father’s
Day dinner will be served at
“MARCO’S RESTAURANT"
