The low bid of 35.5 per gal for fuel oil went to Agway Petroleum Corp., Syracuse, NY. Other bids were Sico Company, Mount Joy, 37.4 per gal.; Garber Oil Com- pany, Mount Joy, 36.4 per gal.; and C. E. Lutz, Elizabethtown, 36.8 per gal. The low bid accepted for sodium chloride was from Watkins Salt Company, Watkins Glen, N. Y., $26.73 per ton. One other bid was received from International Salt Co., Stanford, Conn. for $26.83 per ton. In other business, Boro Manager, Joseph Bateman, reviewed the third quarter reports of the water and sewer accounts. The only noticeable increase was in the supply accounts. Bate- man said the report shows that only eight per cent of the budgeted account for water supplies remain and cited rising cost of chemicals as the reason. All other areas are in good operating condition and are staying within the budget amounts. The Authority adopted a resolution authorizing Bate- man to act on behalf of that body, regarding Federal Flood reimbursement. The Authority suffered approx- imately damages from flood waters this past year. $1,500 A discussion on the type of materials for the new PPPS sro Friendly People Meet’ ing brought no decision. A study of cost differences will decide whether the building will be all brick, or a stone- brick combination. The site of the new plant is approximately one quart- er mile west of Mount Joy on Carmany Road. Con- struction is well under way. It was announced that a planned garage will be used to house borough equip- ment. The borough manager said the building will be the planned size, but will be built with different mater- ials. He is checking further for better prices. William Hopple, 107 Columbia Avenue, was hir- ed as a new meter reader. SHREVE’S INN Frank & Emma $ RA CI¢ : i Mount Joy, PA j N ; Central y/ Hotel 102 N.
