On Saturday, Jan. 31,
Troop 63 of Mount Joy
participated in the 6th
annual ‘‘Operation Frozen
Trail” for the Western
District, Lancaster-Lebanon
Boy Scout Council at J.
Edward Mack Scout Reser-
vation north of Brickerville.
Approximately 400 Scouts
from 24 Units attended the
exercise.
The ‘‘Tiger Patrol’’ from
Troop 63, with Bruce
Wagner, Mark Wagner,
Don Kelly, Sam Clark, Gary
Eshelman and Steve Miller
competing in all the events
won the Third Place Trophy
in very close competition.
The awards were based
on the Patrol’s scouting and
woodland skills.
Mark Wagner also won 2d
place for designing a patch
called ““SNO or NO’ for
participants to wear.
The Tiger Patrol will receive
a special patch to be worn on
their
peting.
Accompanying the Scouts
to camp Mack was their
proud scoutmaster, Jim
Ruhl, and their Unit Com-
missioner, Elmer Davis.
