The Indian wrestlers ad-
ded 2 victories to their
perfect Section 2 record last
week. At the end of the
week the grapplers only
obvious competition for the
title was unbeaten Annville-
Clecna.
As we go to press, the
decisive match between the
Dutchmen and the Indians is
getting underway at Done-
gal High Schoel.
Last week, the DHS
wrestlers pulverized Elco
42-14 and crushed Nerlebco
38-12.
The JV squad also won
both matches.
Indian winners in the Elco
match were Adams (pin,
1:32), Meszaros (dec., 3-0),
Gainer (pin, 0:51), Mohr
(dec., 3-0), Brandt (pin,
2:45), Ruhl (dec., 16-2),
Howell (dec., 22-0) and
McComsey (pin, 1:29).
Mull fought Elco’s Layser
to a S-S tie.
Indian winners in the
Norlebco match were Ad-
ams (pin, 1:15), Meszaros
(dec., 4-0), Gainer (dec.,
2-1), Mohr (pin, 3:47),
Brandt (pin, 3:36), Ruhl
(dec., 4-1), Bishop (dec.,
3-2), and Howell (pin, 1:12).
Mull wrestled Light to a
9-9 draw.
Dribblers whip Garden Spot & A-C
The DHS basketball team
rolled over Garden Spot
94-63, and toppled Annville-
Cleona 88-65 last week. The
Indians are now 8-0 in
Section 3- basketball and
14-2 overall.
Garden Spot was ahead
20-19 at the end of the first
period, but the Indians
outscored their opponents in
every other period.
The A-C Dutchmen held
on until halftime, when the
Indians held only a slim
33-30 lead. When they came
back from the locker room,
the Indians went on the
warpath, but the Dutchmen
just kept plowing.
Indian coach Emil Swift's
strategy of outrunning the
oppesition seemed to work

nicely in both games.
Mark McKercher led the
attack on Garden Spot with
22 points. Fellenbaum fol-
lowed with 20, Miller
canned 17, Weber 13, Barto
12, McCue 6, and Bradley 4.
At Annville-Clecna, Mc-
Kercher scored 22 points,
Miller 18, Fellenbaum 17,
McCue 13, Bradley 9, Barto
8, and Milligan 1.
Indian John Fellenbaum
is still the section’s number
2 sharpshooter, with an
average of 21.8 points per
game. Section scoring lead-
er is Norlebco’s Batz, a
one-man team at 25.7 points
per game.
Camera Night
Camera Night, which was
postponed recently, will be
held on Friday, January 30,
at the Donegal High School
home game.
The public is invited to _
Pod eda
