merman of Route 2, Man-
heim, PA, was graduated
from recruit training at the
Marine Corps Recruit De-
pot, Parris Island, SC.
Physical conditioning,
discipline and teamwork are
emphasized during Marine
recruit training.
Classes include instruc-
tion in close order drill,
Marine Corps history, first
aid, uniform regulations and
military customs and court-
esies.
Brian Koser
in Air Force
Brian D. Koser, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Guy M. Koser
of Bainbridge, enlisted in
the US Air Force's Delayed
Enlistment Program recent-
ly according to TSgt Jim
Ellington, Air Force re-
cruiter, 44 S. Duke St.,
Lancaster.
Koser will graduate from
Elizabethtown High School
in June and is scheduled for
enlistment in the Regular
Air Force after graduation.
Upon graduation from the
Air Force's six week basic
training course, he will
receive training in the
Electronics Area.
He will be earning credits
towards a Career Education
certificate through the
Community College of the
Air Force while attending
basic and other Air Force
technical training schools.
Heart Fund
seeks helpers
Dr. Charles Walker, 1976
Heart Fund Chairman, has
announced that volunteers
are needed in many areas of
the county to help with the
Heart Fund Drive in Febru-
ary.
According to Dr. Walker,
residental workers are des-
perately needed in Colum-
bia, Mount Joy Township,
Mount Joy Bore, Elizabeth-
town Boro, East Donegal
Township and Marietta
Boro.
Volunteers can call the
Heart Office at 393-0725.
