The rose-growing Heapses
were at the Rese Bowl game
Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Heaps of Mount Joy recent-
ly spent a holiday in
California, where they at-
tended the Tournament of
Roses and the Rese Bowl
game between UCLA and
Ohio. This was highly
appropriate, since the
Heaps: are well known as
rose fanciers and have a
garden full of gorgeous
blooms every year.
They also took in the
Universal Studios, the
Farmers Market, Disney-
land, Knott's Berry Farm,
Marineland, and toured the
Queen Mary.
And they still had enough
energy to spend New Year's
Eve at the Paladium, danc-
ing to the music of Lawrence
