Recent grads
of DHS busy
Brian Lesher and Jackie
Howell are active in drama-
tics at Clarion State College.
Each has participated in
eight student directed plays.
Helene Dalkiewicz, also
attending Clarion State has
participated in the girl's
velleyball team there. Fran
Enc is helping backstage in
the same productions Brian
and Jackie are participating
in.
Dean Buchenauer is on
the water pele team at Johns
Hopkins University and has
travelled to Florida over the
helidays te participate in a
swim meet.
Rumor h as it that ‘Tex’
Landis had an cutstanding
academic first semester in
cellege in Florida.
Brian Lesher held a party
last Friday night at his
hecuse for approximately
twenty recent graduates of
D.H.S.
Brian served Burgarly hot
dogs, eclairs, chicken salad
sandwiches, pears stuffed
with cream cheese, delicious
punch, and dishes filled
with delectable goodies.
One of the guests was
Miss Lancaster County,
Gloria Lengenecker, whe
aleng with others learned a
new dance: Bus Stop.
Mr. and Mrs. John T. Germer
John Germers celebrate SSth
Mr. and Mrs. John T.
Germer of 325 Marietta
Avenue, Mount Joy, will
celebrate their SSth wedding
anniversary on January 185,
1976.
They were married in
Elizabethtown at St. Peters
Cathelic Church by Father
Stumph January 15, 1921.
New retired, Mr. Germer
was employed by Gerberich
Pagne Show Company for 39
years. Mrs. Germer was a
Unit Sales Manager and is a
dealer representing Stanley
Heme Products.
They were entertained at
a dinner given by their three
grandchildren. They also
have three great-grand-
children.
Christian Women meet executive committee

Members of the Eliza-
bethtown Christian Wo-
men’s Club, meeting in
Meyer Dining Hall of
E-town Cellege on January
7th, were introduced to. the
members of the executive
committee whe will serve
during 1976. Introductions
were made by Mrs. Helen
McElrey, Area Ceunselor.
Appreciation was ex-
pressed for the committee
who served during the past
year and Mrs. Mary Ann
Ober, retiring chairman,
was given an inscribed note
of appreciation framed by a
quilled design. Mrs. Ober
has been chairman since the
club was organized in 1973.
Mary Carl and Brenda
Hanna of Elizabethtown and
their Furry Friends provided
the entertainment. ‘‘Furry
Friends'’ is the name used
for their puppets, and their
audience was as charmed as
any group of youngsters
could be. Kim Lauver,
Mount Joy, sang several
numbers. Bruce Burkhelder
of Genesis Ministries, Her-
shey, was the speaker.
Next meeting will be held
February 4 at Hostetter’s,
Mount Joy, at noon.
