Miller joins NCR’s 25-year club Kenny Miller, supervisor of the order entry dept. and NCR’s Mount Joy plant, was welcomed to the company’s 2S year club last week. Mr. Miller began his careeer with NCR in Dayton, Ohio, where he worked on payrolls. He moved to Washington Courthouse, Ohio, in 19S8, and was promoted to a man- agement position in 1959. In May of 1968, he was transfered to Mount Joy. His daughter Sharon (now Mrs. William Fuller) attend- ed Donegal High School. Kenny and his wife, Florine, live in Mount Joy. He is active in two bowling leagues and loves to fish in the Susquehanna River. In spite of the recent defeat in Canada, new recruits continue to join the Donegal Rangers. The company mustered in Marietta last week, and some new faces were visible in the ranks. If enough dedicated men sign up, the rebellion against Britain just might be sucessful. Michael Groff enlists USAF Michael Groff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Groff of 338 Chocolate Ave, Mount Joy enlisted in the U.S. Air Force's Delayed Enlistment Program recently according to TSgt Jim Ellington, Air Force recruiter 44 S. Duke St., Lancaster. Groff, a ’7S graduate of Donegal High School, is scheduled for enlistment in the Regular Air Force on March 1S. Upon graduation from the Air Force's six week basic training course, he will receive technical training in the Mechanical area. He will be earning credits toward a Career Education Certificate through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and other Air Force technical training schools. Steve Miller, staff sergeant Steven M. Miller of Mount Joy has been notified of his promotion to the grade of staff sergeant in the Air National Guard at Harrisburg International Airport in Middletown. Sergeant Miller, a Ground Radic Communication Equipment Repairman, is assigned to the 193rd Consolidated Aircraft Main- tenance Squadron at the airport. Prize Bicentennial photos on display in Conoy The Concy Township Bi- centennial Committee will be exhibiting the Lancaster County Bicentennial Photo Collection the week of January 18, 1976, at the Bainbridge Elementary Scheel in Bainbridge. The exhibit includes 37 photo- graphs taken in Lancaster County by county residents. Subjects include historical buildings, landscapes, lei- sure time occupations, reli- gion, the family and others. The exhibit will be epen to the public on Sunday, January 18 from 2p.m.- 4p.m., when the Haldeman Society will alse have a display and refreshments will be served. On Monday, the public is welcome during school hours 9a.m.-3p.m., when Sth graders will be available to guide and answer ques- tiens. The bicentennial commit- tee invites all residents of the township to attend the next meeting Thursday, January 15 at 7:30 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bainbridge. Plans are being made for the Bicentennial Days, June 12, 13, and 14, 1976. Parades and bands are being scheduled. The township would like to rely on local craftsmen rather than inviting outside professional artisans and craftsmen. Tentatively, January 20, January; 19, . 3nd yTuesdays.-id mock Indian , village is being planned along the Susquehanna River, an area rich in Indian history for which the township was named. Persons are being contacted to demonstrate and display their skill at the crafts of quilting, spinning, and weaving, and black- smithing. We are looking for other specialities in leather work, crocheting, lacemak- ing, pottery, crewel and canvas embrodiery, sculp- ture, broommaking, wooden toy, apple head dolls, corn husk wares, herbs, and games, and many others.
