I address you here to-day; I am very
thankful both to our Creator and to our
Teachers—to the one because he has
given us health, vigor and strength, to
perform the duties assigned to us; and
to the other because they have done all
that was in their power to urge us on
toward the hill of science and literature.

this world without learning ? If you
point me out one, I will point you out

Shakespeare or a Milton,that does not,
and though he may be poor, yet he is
rich. Now, schoolmates, why may we

the Susquehanny, in the pleasant Borough o f
