WALL BRUSHES,
A new article in this market, and far superior
to any other in use. A few reasons why :
First.—They are free from twine, which is
affected by the lime, and liable to rot, caus
ing the falling out of the bristles.
Second.—The bristles are inserted in the
wood, or body of the brush, when green, which
when dry, causes them to be held firmly in
their place ; any subsequent soaking or shrink
age fails to affect them.
Third.—They are made of Bristles exclusive
ly; many kinds being composed, in part, of
whalebone.
Fourth--They contain more bristles for the
size, and are as cheap as the ordinary kind.

MORE AND MOREDESERABLE
The Rebellion is suppressed and the Gov
ernment has already adopted measures to re
duce expenditures as rapidly as t possible-to a
peace footing, thus withdrawing from market
as borrower and purchaser.
This is the only Loan in Market
now offered by the Go vernment,and constitutes
The, Great Popular Loan of the People.
The 7-30 Notes are convertible on their ma
turity, at the option of the holder, into
U. S. 5-20 SIX PER CENT.
GOLD BEARING BONDS.
WHICH ARE ALWAYS WORTH A PREMIUM
The 7-30 Notes cannot be taxed by Towns,
Cities, Counties or States, and the interest is
not taxed unless on a surplus of the owner's
income exceeding .73600 n-year. This fact in
creases their value . from one to three per cent.
per annum, according to the rate levied on oth-
er property.
SUBSCRIBE QUICKLY.
Less than $200,000,000 of the Loan au-
thorized by the last Congress are now in the
market. This amount at the rate at which it
is being absorbed, will all be subscribed for
within two months, when the notes will, un
doubtedly command a premium, as has uni
formly been the case on closing the subscrip
tions to other Loans. It now seems probable
that no considerable amount beyond the pres
ent series will be offered to the Public.
In order that citizens of every town and
section of the country may be afforded facili-
ties for taking the loan, the National Banks,
State Banks, and Private Bankers throughout
the country have generally agreed to receive
subscriptions at par. Subscribers will select
their own agents, ,n whom they have - coat-

the delivery of the notes for which they re-

It took the First Premium at Fifty-seven

out an exception, the belt Wringer ever made.
Patented in the United States, England,
Canada, and Australia. Agents wanted in
every town.
Energetic agents can make from 3 to 10

WHAT EVERYBODY KNOWS,fiz
That iron well galvanized will not rust;
That a simple machine is better than a cora
plicated one;
That a Wringer should be self-adjusting,
durable, and efficzent ;
That Thumb-screws, and Fastenings cause
delay and b ouble to regulate and keep in order ;
That wood soaked in hot water will swell,
shrink and split;
That wood hearings for the shaft to run in
will wear out;
That the Putnam Wringer, with or without
cog-wheels, will not tear the clothes;
That cog-wheel regulators are not essential ;
That the Putnam Wringer has all the ad
vantages, and not one of the disadvaritictie.S
above named ; •
That all who have tested it, pronounce it
the best Wringer ever made;
That it will wring anything from a thread
to a bcd quill without alteration ;
We might fill - the paper with testimonials,
but insert only a few to convince the skepti
cal, if such there be ; and we say to all, test
Putnam's Wringer.
Test it thoroughly with any and ALL others,
and if noc entirely satisfactory, return it.

And Pencil Maker,
TO BE DISPOSED OF WITH DISPATCH
WITHOUT REGARD TO LOST!
The Goods are of fashionable styles and
most excellent workmanship, and are sacrifi
ced in this manner to relieve the proprietors
from embarrassment occasioned by a distract
ing civil war. It should be prominently sta
ted, also, that they are mostly of
AMERICAN MANUFACTURE
and therefore greatly superior to the goods
imported from abroad and hawked about as
the cheapest ever sold. The simple duty on
imported goods and the high premium on Gold
(all foreign bills are payable in gold,) amount
to More than the entire cost of many of the
articles offered by us to the public. To facili
tate the sale
ONLY ONE DOLLAR
will be charged for any article on our list, and
this sum the purchaser need not pay until he
knows what he is to get ! This plan accords
with the method recently become so popular
for disposing of large stocks of Jewdry and
similar productions.
THE PLAN IS SIMPLE!
The name of each article offered for sale
as "Gold Hunting Watch," "Gold Oval-Ban
Bracelet," "Pearl Breastpin and Ear-Drops,
"Hold Er smelled Ring," "Silver Plated Cake
Basket," &c., is written on a card and en
closed in a sealed envelope ; these envelopes
are then placed in a drawer and well mixed;
then as an order is received, with twenty-five
cents for return postage and other charges,
one of the cards or certificates is taken at
random and sent by first mad to the customer,
who will see at once what he can get for One
Dollar. Ii he is pleased with his fortune he
can forward the money according to directions
on the certificate and secure the prize. If tho
article awarded should be unsuited to the
purchaser—as for example, a set of Pearl Ear
Drops and Breastpin to a young man who
could not wear them, and had no one to give
them to—we will send any other article on the
catalogue of equal price which. may be pre

Compound Extract of Sarsaparrilla
It cleanses and renovates the Blood, instills
the vigor of HEALTH into the system,
and purges out the humors which make dis-
ease. It stimulates the healthy functions of
the body, and expels the disorders that grow
and rankle in the Blood. Such a remedy,
that could be relied on, has long been sought
for, and new, for the first time
hive one on which they can depend. Our
space here does not admit of certificates to
show its effects, but the trial of a stogie bot-
tle will show to the sick that it has virtues
surpassing anything they have ever taken.
Two tablcspoonsful of the Extract of Sarsa-
parilla, added to a pint of water, is equal to
the Lisbon Diet Drink, and one bottle is equal
o a gallon of the Syrup of Sarsaparilla, or
he decoction as usually made.
The above Extracts are prepared on purely
scientific principles—in Vacuo—and embody
he full strength of the ingredients entering in-
o their composition. A ready and conclusive
test will be a comparison of their properties
with those set forth in the U. S. Dispensato-
HOW TO USE THE REMEDIES
In diseases of the Blood, Humors on the
Face, or any and every part of the body, use

proved Rcse Wash.

quiring the aid of a Diuretic, except those of
the Urinary Organs, such as Gonorrhoea and
Gleet ; in these use the Extract Buchu and in
