)mplars on Monday evening last, was
Airy successful in every respect.. The
Hall was densely crowded—the music
by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wolfe, Girod
Brothers.and Mr. Hoffmeier, was very
fine, whilst the readings and recitations
by J. P. Walter, B. K. Dorwart and a
Mr. Hart pat a climax to the complete•
esti of the whole. It was quite a treat.

time editor of the "Strasburg Bee" and
Jterward a dentist, was killed on the
Cleveland and Erie railroad on the 27th
ultimo, He was very bard of hearing,
which, no doubt, caused the accident.
The cars passed over both legs and one
of his aims, killing him almost instantly.
He was engaged as clerk for this com
pany, and the accident occurred close to
the office in which he was employed.
