PABULETTE. This Fertilizer is composed
ot night soil and the fertilizing elements of
mine combined, chemically and mechanically
with other valuable fertilizing agents and ab
sorbents.
It is reduced to a pulverized condition, rea- ,
dy for immediate use, and without loss of its
highly nitrogenous fertilizing properties.
Its universal application to all crops and
soils, and its durability and active qualities,
are well known to be all that agriculturists
can disire. PRICE $25 PER TON.

rtIIEMICAL COMPOST. This Fertilizer
IU is largely composed of animal matter,
such as meat, bone, fish, leather, hair and
wool, together with chemicals and inorganic
fertilizers, which decompose.the mass, and re
tain nitrogenous elements. It is thorough
ly impregnated with urine, and the thinner
portions of night soil.
It is a very valuable fertilizer for field crops
generally, and especially for potatoes, and
garden purposes.
Its,excelffint qualities, strength and cheap
ness, have made it very popular with all who
have used it. Price, $25 PER Tore.

10-40 BONDS.
These Bonds are issued under the Act of Con
gress of March Bth? 1864, which provides that
all Bonds issued under this Act shall be EX
EMPT FROM TAXATION ny or unoer any
state or municipal authority. Subscriptions
to these Bonds are received in United States
notes or notes of National Banks. They are
TO BE REDEEMED IN COIN, at the plea
sure of the Government, at any period not less
thanten months nor more than forty years
from their date, and until their redemption
FIVE PER CENT. INTEREST WILL BE
PAID IN COIN, on Bonds of not over one
hundred dollars annually and on all other
Bonds semi-annually. The interest is pay
abl eon the first days of March and Septem
ber in each year.
Subscribers will receive either Registered
or Coupon Bonds, as they may prefer. Reg
istered Bonds are recorded on the books of
the U. S. Treasurer, and can be transferred
only on the owner's order. Coupon Bonds
are payable to bearer, and are more conve
nient for commercial uses.
Subscribers to this loan will have the op
tion of having their Bonds draw interest from
March Ist, by paying the accrued interest in
coin—(or in United States notes, or the notes
of National Banks, adding fifty per cent. for
premium) or receive them drawing interest
from the date of subscription and deposit.
As these Bonds are
Exempt from municipal or State taxation.
their value is increased from one to three per
cent. per annum,'according to the rate of tax
levies in various parts of the country.
At the present rate of premium on gold
they pay
OVER 8 PER CENT. INTEREST,
in currency, and are of equal convenieneeLas
a permanent or temporary investment.
It is believed that no securities offer so
great inducements to lenders as the various
descriptions of U. S. Bonds. In all other
forms of indebtedness, the faith or ability of
private parties or stock companies or seperate
communities only is pledged for payment,
while for the debts of the United States the
whole property of the country is holden to
tsecure the payment of both principal and in
crest in coin.
These bonds may be subscribed for in sums
from $5O up to any magnitude, on the same
terms, and are thus made equally available
to the smallest lender and the largest capital
ist. They can be converted into money at
any moment, and the holder will have the
benefit of thi interest.
It may be useful to state in this connection.
that the total Funded Debt of the United
States on which interest is payable in gold,
on the 3d day of March, 1864, was $768,965,-
000. The interest on this debt for the coming
decal year will be $45,937,126, while the cus
toms revenue in gold for the current fiscal
year, ending June 30th, 1564, has been so far
at the rate of over $100,000,000 per annum.
It will be seen that even the present gold
revenues of the Government are largely in
excess of the wants of the Treasury for the
payment of the gold interese, while the recent
increase of the tariff will doubtless raise the
annual receipts from customs on the same
amount of importations, to $150,000,000 per
annum.

its cost. We think the machine much more
than pays for itself every year in the saving of
garments! There are several kinds, nearly
alike in general construction, but we consider
it important that the Wringer be fitted with
Cogs, otherwise a mass of garments may clog
the rollers, and the rollers upon the crank
shaft slip and tear the clothes, or the rubber
break loose from the shaft. Our own is one of
the first make, and it is as good as new after
nearly four years constant use."

Do not use the Drops when forbidden in

Although not cisposed to favor or recommend
Patent Medicines in general, through distiast
of their ingredients and effects; 1 yet know
of no sutlici mt reason why a man may not tes
tily to the benefits he believes himself to have
received from any simple preparation, in the
hope that he may thus contribute to the bene
fit of others.
I do this more readily in regard to Hoofland's
German Bitters, prepared by Dr. C. M. Jackson
because I was prejudieed against them for a
number of years, under the impression that
they were chiefly an alcoholic mixture. lam
indebtad to my friend Rob't Shoemaker, esq.,
fur the removal of this prejudice by proper
tests, and for encouragement to try them, when
suffering from great and long debility. The
use of three bottles of these bitters, at the be
ginning of 'the present year, was followed by
evident relief, and restoration to a degree of
bodily and mental 'vigor which I had not felt
for six months before, and had almost dispair
ed of regaining. I therefore thank God and
my friend for directing me to the use of them.

the arrival of the sick, it will be noticed that
a very large proportion are suffering from de
bility. Every case of that kind can be readi
i y cured by Hoofland's German Bitters. We
have no hesitation in stating that, if these bit
ters are freely used among our soldiers, hund
reds of lives might be saved that otherwise
would be lost.
The proprietors 9re daily receiving thankful
letters from sufferers in the army and bospi
tals, who have been restored to health by the use
of these Bitters, sent to them by their friends.
