in this and last week's MAcrarriAs,
having been housed by sickness. which
prevented our usual perambulations, but
still there was a consolation left vs,
that if we could not visit others—others
could• resit us ; for the obliging and .
gentlemanly assistant provost marshal
ETTLA, called on us OD Tuesday morning
and informed us that we were the fortu
nate drawer of ticket No. 37 in -"Uncle
tam's Lottery." We were delighted,
course, and told him to take onr
measure for a Sharp'e ri6e,•cartridge
taix and haversack ; he declined, how
ever, stating that that could be done at
Lancaster, on the 29th of June, when
We were to report. He withdrew, bow
ing at an angle of 4.5, whilst we wished
the draft in h-1.1. .
