Boyer with all the contents, to gether with Mr• Boyer, his wife and two chil dren (a boy and girl), aged respectively 12 and 14. The only one saved was Mr. Boyer's son Thomas, who escaped from the devour ing clement by jumping oat of a window in his night Clothes. The fire is supposed to have originated from the explosion of a coal oil lamp, the flame of which had been turn ed low and left burning.
