ttEilrlf we may credit our Washington
despatches the President in relying upon the
Supreme Court to aid hint in his fight with
the loyal people of the Union. He believes
the 'Court will decide the Southern States
fully restored to the: Union, and entitled to
representation in Congress, and therefore, is
still urging these States to reject the Con.

South May be assured that it Will not be re

Congress are fully complied with. The pen
ple will reverse any such decision, shonthl.it
be given, as surely and completely as they
did that is the Died Scott casts.
Ciit'A Washington despatch says Air Ste :

which will bb introduced immediately on the

gctlicr with the report of other important
decisions shortly to follow, in FLA it is al
leged they intend to declare several laws now
co the statute book unconstitutional, have
produced a feeling of alarm. Several able
:jurists in Loth Douses are seriously consid

The President is said to have conferred with
several of the Judges of the Supreme Court
in regard to the positions assumed by Con.

Court would declare the Amendment nacov i l
