No. 1 is a eight.horso power, with cost iron thresheifrani . e'and wrought iron and wood cylinder, six
teen 'inches in diameter and thirty .three, inches long. Trunk hae ten inch rake crank and seven rakes,
is thirty.five inches wide, deliiere the iiititaiv on the second rake, these carry the straw: net on tit*
tops, and deliver it on the stacker, which will deliver about thirty .five feet beyond the feeder, nn a stack
fifteen to eighteen feet high, and can be easily manard to carry the chaff' 'with the straw, or deliver it
inn separate'plice. • The think and tin' site being closed, to: confine the straw and chaff, vmsdies all
difficulties in eimining grain against windy weather. It bago,the grain bit reasonable 'management, suf
ficiently clean for market, and its capacity, under ordinary , circumstances, is from twenty to forty bush
els per hour, using eight horses and the same number of hands; but to force the work under favorable
