This Machine is conveniently orrtinged . for hauling and thiesbing, being permanently fixed on tWo
wheels. •One man can easily move or shift it about, so that it is not half trouble in a barn floor as a
common thrasher and shaker. It is also easily put in Operation, It is:simple, easily managed, reliable,
durable, compact and cleanly to work by when in operation; not making near the- dust as the common
machine or other Separators. • -
Farmers can rest assured that this machine is no humbug, and judging from the high reconamanda•
lion of iiirmeis that are using them, I must come to the_conclusion• that it is the very Machine that far
mers want and -will have_as_soon-as-they - liiiir an opportunity to appreciate and attest its merits, for
which - rhoWthey win give me an opportunity, as I am willing to be responsible if it does not perform
as represented in this Circular. •
No. 1 is a eight-horse power, with cast iron thresher frame and wrought iron and wood cylinder, six
teen inches in diameter and thirty three inches long. Trunk hae ten•inch rake rank and seven rakes,
is thirty•five inches wide, and delivers the straw on the second rake, these carry the straw out on their
tops, and deliver it on the stacker, which will deliver about thirty-five feet beyond the on a stack
fifteen to eighteen feet high, and can be easily managed to carry the chaff with the straw, or deliver it
in_n_separate place. Thv trunk and fan sides being closed, to confine the straw and chaff, remedies all
dillie- he
difficulties in cieaning grain against whiny weathoi. It bags the grain - by reasonable management,sui
flciently clean for market, and its capacity, under ordinary circumstances, is from twenty to forty bush
els per hour, using eight horses and the same number of hands; but to force the work under favorable
circumstance, - it - willith from forty to•fifty bushels per hour, and with more ease and agreeiblenis
to hands than any other machine now in common use.
The No. 2 Machine, fully represented in the above cut, •rtrticularly adapted to the farmer's use; is
intended to apply to any common lever or railway power; weighs 1,300 pounds; has an iron thresher
frame, and cylinder, 12i inches in diameter and 28 inches long; delivers the clean grain in bags, or if
desired, in aha If bushel. It delivers the straw fifteen feet from the modes, or if desired, can deliver the
straw and chaff together; will thresh and clean, in good groin, ready for market, from 100 to 175 bushels
of wheat, or from 300 to 51 . 0 bushels of oats per day, using four or six horses, and the same number of
hands; but .to force the work, under most favorable circumstances, good grain, tee., will thresh and clean
considerably more. The Machine will threah and clean all kinds of grain generally threshed with the
common machine, and requires no more horse power, but in many cases does not run so hard. It will
apply very well' to a two-horse railway power
