Phillips' Avenue Drove Yard reach about
1,400 head this week; the market is dull and
prices rather lower. Extra Pennsylvania
and Western are selling at 15®16fe; fair to

Cows are without change; about 100 head

- SHEEP —The demand is good, and prices
are rather better; 5,000 bead arrived and

Mill and Evaporater to manufacture Syrup
at Ringgold, Mil, We call the attention of farmers
to the importance of raising the . Cane, as it is Iv,.
lieved by persons who have raised it to be the most
valuable crap that can be raised. It yields from two
hundred and twenty-five to Iwo hundred and seven- -
ty.five gallons of Syrup to the acre. The Cane is
best planted on hills. The seed should be sprouted
before planting it. Persons wishing to get seed can
