10.—The arrifrals and sales of Beef Cattle at
Phillips' Avenue Drove Yard are small this
week, only reaching about 1,000 bead. The
market in consequence is very firm, and prices
.have advanced about c,/p lb, with sales of
extra Pennsylvania and Western at 22@24e;
fair to good at 18b21c, and common at from
15(51.7e lb, as to quality. About 300
head sold 19 go to New York at frotu 11i€4.

Sheep are dull and lower; about 4,000 head
sold at from 1.0(i - 4121c lb, gross, as to
quality.
Cows are firmer; about 100 head sold at

Hogs are dull; about 1.000 head sold at

market continues dull at about former rates,
there being very little demand either fur cx•
port or home, but holders are less anxious to
sell. Sales comprise about 500 bbls City
Mills family extra on private terms. The
retailers and bankers are buying in a small
way at prices ranging from $7.50@8 for su
perfine, *8 25®8775 for extra, $8 50@1.0.50
for extra family, and $11®11.50 bbl for
fancy brands, as to quality.. Rye Flour is
selling in a small way at $0 75(a),7 bbl,
and Corn bleat at.from $6®G 50 13 bor.
GRAIN.—The receipts an d stocks of
Wheat ;:ontioub light and the demand is lim•
ited; about 3,500 bus. sold in lots at from
$1.95®2.15 bushel for common to pritim
Pennsylvania reds, and white at from $2 31)-
62,35 bu. the at,ter rate for prime Ken
tucky. Rye is scarce; a small sale of Dela
ware was made at $1.25 bu. Corn is stea
dy; small sales of prime yellow are making at
$l-221, afloat, and 1,000 bu. at $1.18()1.19
bu. in store. Oats are without change;
1,400 bu. sold at s3@sB4c Vbu. 1,000 bu.
