and Extra do. at $.11.50 bbl. Market dull
and unsettled.
GRAIN.—Very good and prime Maryland
white Wheat brought 280@285 cents, and
lair and very r•ood red 255 260 cents.—
Transactions limited and market heavy at the
close. Corn ruled higher under a brisk jn
quiry. Sales of old white at 190®192 ets.
only. one lot bringing the extreme pride; new
fiat do. at 180 cents; Hominy do at 185®
190 cents;_old-yellow-at 195 cents, and—no
do. at 185®190 cents. Oats were quite ac
tive, bringing 96@98 cents, weight a fur
ther advance of 2 eects. Rye so i at 175
cents, closing steady.

after the 13th day of December, A. D., 1864, from
the curb inward, one-half of the width of every
pavement-along-the-mtreets -of-said — Borough (ex

shall be kept open and unobstructed. And any
person or persons who by placing any matter or
thing on said space to be kept clear and unobstruc
ted, or by carrying on any business whatsoever,
thereon ; or who in any way or manner shall im
pede the free and proper use thereof, shall upon
conciction,furfe.it and pay for the use of said Bo
rough such sun (not less than one dollar nor more
than live dollars) as the Chief Burgess may deter
mine. Provided, nevertheless, That any person or
persons obstructing said space to be kept open as
aforesaid, by but. hewing thereon, shall upon con
viction, forfeit and pay for the use of said Borough,
for the first offence the sum of five dollars, and fur
each and every Offence thereafter the sum of ten
