During his stay a rain came up, and the lady went out into the garden to remove some clothes from a line, the gentleman following to assist.— They had gone but a few steps outside the building whe n the lightning struck the touse lo one current !lowing down the roof and cum rminfeationg the man, killing him before he could -know what the matter was. The lady was severely injured. .The toes on one of her feet were split open by the subtle flu id, and she was otherwise affected.—But faint hopes are entertained 'of her recovery.
