Hope church entertainment for the
Sunday school children takes place
Monday evening, Deo. 24. A large
Christmas tree will be provided
loaded with beautiful presonts for
them. Mosdamos Martin Fisher,
W. Spoidol and Ed. Lord will have
the affair.
The L. C. U society hold a five
cent tea Thursday oftornoon at the
home of Mrs. A. C. Brink which
was Will attended. A business
meeting preceded.
Epworth oburch will hold Christ
mas exercises both Sunday and Mon
day evenings. , Mrs. H. A. Johnson
has charge of the songs and Mrs.
Wickham, Mrs. NilisandMiss Nellie
Westfall of the recitations.
The prayer meetings at Epworth
church during the past week ha ve
been well attended.
Walter Nerrpass will change his
residence to the house formerly oc
cupied by tho Shaw family on Cook

The Y. P. C. E. of Hope church
give an eutertaiumeut in connection
with the. fair at Presootts Hall

Charles Cook will move from Penn

William Townsend, contractor, is
rapidly completing the new school
house at "Barren Timber," one and
it half miles above Hush lull and it
will without doubt be ready for oc
cupancy before New Years. Al
though small it will be a neat and
oomfortablo building.
Olio Wallace a lifelong citizen of
Lehman, is lying very sick at the
home of his sister, Mrs. Heller, in
BuslikM! village.
mx. William Turn and another
gentleman from this place have es
tablished a si aging school at Maple
throve. Both leaders are exception
ally good vocalists and will make the
school a genuine success.

At a nine ting of the promoters of
the driving track project Tuesday
evening the matter was fouud to be
progressing very satisfactorily . Ad
ditional subscriptions were received
and only five shares remain unsub
scribed for. The committee on
grounds reported a suitable location
near Metz Brothers Hotel, over" in
Dingnian townspip, and it is under
stood that Messrs. Stubendorfl and
Metz are favorably disposed toward
leasing the proper quantity for
track purposes.

consecutive games when there are

play ; but, if a member invites

the "no two game rule" if anyone is
waiting to play.
5. The committeeman on duty
shall call any member's attention to
these rules. If tho member persists
iu breaking these rules, he shall be
debarred from playing for one week
or one month as deemed best by the
"house committee," and they shall
report such at the regular meeting
of tho club.
