Candy and the Teeth.
Tho delegates to the annual con
vention, of tho Pennsylvania Den
tal Association met in Pittsburg,
Jan. 23.
Among the subjects discussed was
tho effect of candy on the teeth.
Prof. Pierce of Philadelphia, con
demned the candy habit as most vi
cious, lie said " children must have
sugar, but as it is not flavored they
will not eat too much of it." "Candy
is flavored and they eat it to excess.
It becomes an acid in fifteen minu
tes and hence is dangerous. " Dr.
Hurley of Oil city, thought candy
when pure was not injurious to the
teeth. When doctors disagree who
shall decide?
The Family Skeleton.
Grandpa " Don't get scared,

" Mr. Fanner," she soid, " will you

Is this tho way to Waroliam ?"
Tho farmer ixked up from his
