Wendler resided. at Marietta until
1912 and then at Columbia until
three years ago. She is survived by
her husband, who has been a con-
ductor on the Columbia line of the
Conestoga Traction for a
number of years; heir residing
with Mr. Wendler and ‘ollowing
brother and sisters: Anna, ife of
Samuel W. Lehman, Harrisburg;
Harry, Columbia; John, George.
David, William and Eimer, at Mari
etta and Charles at Mount Joy.
Peter A. Apple.
Peter A. Apple, former well known
proprietor of the Keystone Hotel, at
Manheim, who has lived retired for
a number of years, died.very sudden-
ly in that borough on Tuesday while
standing in the alley in the rear of
a tobacco shed near his home. Death
was caused by a stroke. Mr. Apple
was 72 years of age H

Funeral services will be held on Sun-
day afternoon at 1 o'clock at his late


home. Interment will be » in the
Fairview cemetery.

A Bridge Sinks.
The large bridge of the Pennsyl-
vania railroad at Pequea, sunk Tues-
day. About 400 men were at work
there on Wednesday making tempo-
rary repairs.
