MILTON GROVE HIGH SCHOOL
 


The High School at Milton Grove
will render an entertainment Tues-
day evening, March 5th, when the fol-
lowing program will be rendered:
Opening March; Declamation, Em-
mert McDannel; The Pair of Scissors;
Mixed Quartet; Bridget’s Invest-
ment; Impersonation, Negro Dialect,
Rufus Eby; Musical Play, Aborigi-
nees Till Now; Mock Trial, Jury and
Court; Male Quartet; The Vision;
Solo, Kathryn Zug; Lyric, Poetry, 10
Girls; Pennant Drill; Drama, High
School. The doors will open at 6 p.
m., program at 7.15. Admission 20
cents and 10 cents for pupils of 10
years and under. Should the weath-
er prove unfavorable the program
will be rendered on the 7th of March.
Prof. Chas. G. Becker, is principal of
the schools.

Was Enjoyed by All H
The Spelling Bee which was held
in the Mount Sor Hall, by the mem-
bers of the Senior Class of the Mount
Joy High School for the purpose of
purchasing a Service Flag, proved
very successful. The two plays,
“A "Girl Made to Order” and “Miss
Molly Tame the Odd Bachelor” were
very well rendered. The attendance
was large and financially was a suec-
cess. There were three classes, the
first, a Spelling Class, for pupils
under 14 years, taught by Miss Ethel
MacDannald. The winners in this
class are in their order, Eli Engle,
Anna Brooks, Sarah Dellinger and
Mildred Way. The second, a Spel-
ling Class for everybody, taught by
Mr. Henry Gingrich. The winners in
Miss Pauline Wea-
ver, Elmer Musser, Neva Wiley and
Mary Kramer. The third a General
Information Class, taught by Mr.
Irwin Kraybill of Florin. The win-
ners in their order are: Miss Pauline
Weaver, David Stauffer, Emily New-
comer.
