The reading garden was
dedicated to Mrs. Marilyn
Glogowski who retired
from Lake-Lehman after
37 years as teacher and
principal.

nature. House Bill 1706
doubles the amount of
money fire companies are
permitted to borrow for
equipment and apparatus
under the loan program.

funds for Blue Chip Farms

Ruthie Skammer helped
to raise funds for the
Blue Chip Farms Animal
Refuge. Blue Chip held
its fifth annual dinner
dance fundraiser and the
students contributed by
providing and assembling
nine variety baskets to
be chanced off at the ben-
efit dance. The basket
themes included a pet, spa,
Halloween, lottery, chil-
dren’s games, money tree,
gift cards, candy, gift cards
and a baby basket.
Blue Chip is a no kill
animal shelter located in
Dallas. Their mission is to
provide a sanctuary where
older, stray, abandoned
, sick or abused animals
can wait to be adopted or
simply live out their lives
