“The annual Coats for
Kids - event was  con-
ducted on Nov. 10 by the
Back Mountain Police
Association. Members
of the association col-
lected gently-used coats
from noon to 3 p.m. at
the Shavertown Shopping
Center.
The Back Mountain
Police Association is cel-
ebrating its 55th anniver-
sary and has collected and
given away over 1,000
coats since beginning the
project in 2009, accord-
ing to David Dembowski,
public relations represen-
tative for the association.
