set against the backdrops
of the Great Depression,
the Civil Rights move-
ment and the shifting
contemporary land-
scape of today. Danced
to hit standards from
the 1930s, 1960s and
the 2000s, the show fea-
tures 14 dancers, four
vocalists and a five-piece
orchestra. The show
celebrates timeless
love and its power to
defy society’s invisible
rules that use explosive
movement and
storytelling. The show
opened Sept. 28 at
the Fulton Theater in
Lancaster.
“It would be fun to
bring this show to Wilkes-
Barre, to tell everyone
“This is my act now,’
said the hard-working,
engaging dancer from
Shavertown.
