ean Sunday, August 30, 2009 THE DALLAS POST PAGE 3 Kids Day o at the lake Kids of all ages had a great time during “Kids Day,” hosted by the Harveys Lake Fire and Ambulance on August 16 at Sandy Beach. Fire Chief David Davis says the department started Kids Day about seven years ago as part of Harveys Lake Homecoming from 2005 to 2008 but since the homecoming did not take place this year, the fire and ambulance company hosted the children’s event. Children were treated to hamburgers and hot dogs, fire trucks, mazes and games. There were water wars and a slip and slide. Six-year-old Jack Susanin, whose grandparents have a house at Harveys Lake, takes advantage of a water slide set up by the Harveys Lake Fire and Ambulance Co. for a "Kids Day" at the Sandy Beach Lake Club.
