Soccer tryouts set
USTA Explosion will hold
sinter /spring tryouts for
experienced travel players at
6:30 p.m. on Wednesday,
Dec. 17, at the Riverfront
Sports Complex, Scranton.
Children born between
August 1, 1994 and July 31,
1995 are eligible to participa-
te.
Interested soccer players
may attend a tryout session

Basketball tryouts
scheduled Dec. 28
Tryouts for the Firm A.C.
AAU Basketball League will
be held Sunday, Dec. 28, at
the Kingston Recreation
Center, Third Avenue.
Tryout schedule is: 10 to
11:45 a.m., girls grades four
through six; 11:45 a.m. to
1:30 p.m., girls grades seven
through nine; 1:30 to 3 p.m.,
boys grades five through six;
1:30 to 3:80 p.m., boys
grades seven through eight.

Center Street, Shavertown,

on December 2 while hunt-
ing with his father, Robert
Hivish Sr., and his brother-
in-law, Jason Wilson. Hivish
has been hunting for 12
years and, although he has
bagged eight bucks, this is
the largest to date.

School girls freshman
basketball team recently
won first place in the So-
lomon Tournament held
at Solomon/Plains Ju-
nior High School. Mem-
