The Meadows Nursing Center and the Alzheimer's Association will present an Alzheimer's In-
ferfaith Candlelight Vigil at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, at the center, 55 W. Center Hill Rd.,
Dallas. A reception will be held in the first floor chapel with clergy and music, followed by the
lighting ceremony around the pond area on the grounds. Candles will be provided. The evening
will conclude with light refreshments. Some members of the Alzheimer’s Support Group planning

The Dallas United Methodist Church, 4 Parsonage St., Dallas, will hold its annual fall rummage
sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov.1. There will
be a baked goods table, jewelry, clothing, household items and many more treasures. Lunch and
snacks will be served, including homemade soup, wimpies, hot dogs and pies and cakes. Sat-
urday will be Bag Day. Members of the rummage sale committee are, from left, Lena Baur,

| ATTEND TRAINING SESSION
Township Road and Street Department employees attended a training seminar/hands-on dem-
nstrations on the proper uses of the Stinger Grader Blades at the Jackson Township Municipal
Building by Bradco Supply Co., the distributor of Stinger Blades, and the Luzerne Conservation
District, administrators of the Dirt and Gravel Road Program Grants. The municipal employees
were instructed on the use of the Stinger Grader Blades and how to properly maintain dirt and
gravel roads with the Stinger Blades, making a better driving surface and less cost of road materi-
