The names of the eight semi-
finalists and their accomplish-
ments will be placed on ballots
and sent to a voting committee
that consists of local media
members and KBAC officers.
The top three vote-getters in
each division will be named
finalists and invited to the ban-
quet, where the winner will be
announced.
Nominations for the student-
athlete awards should include a
list of an individual's academic
and athletic accomplishments
and community service involve-
ment. Transcripts are highly
recommended.
The nominations for the stu-
dent-athlete awards will be sub-
mitted to a selection commit-
tee, which will name eight
semifinalists and three finalists.
The three finalists will be invit-
ed to the banquet, where the
winner will be announced.
The club also will hand out
its Board of Governors Awards
at the banquet. Those are deter-
mined by club members.
Gators win a pair
The Gate of Heaven eighth grade boys basketball team beat GAR
56-41, behind 18 points from Conor Judge and 16 points from Tom
Horn.
The Gators also beat Wyoming Area Catholic by the same score.
Judge again led the scoring with 17 points and Nick Latosek
scored 12. The Gators are 2-1 in the Wyoming Valley Catholic
League.
3-on-3 men’s league
Ir Sem ot
The Rock Recreation Center will host a 3-on-3 basketball league
for men 35 and over and 18 and over. The games for older players
will be played Tuesday, beginning January 18. Younger players will
play Thursdays beginning January 20. The entry fee is $100 per
team, plus a referee fee. There is a maximum of five players per
each while
