Lloyd, of Dallas, re- ceived the Scholastic Recogni- tion Award for being a CDAE major and ranking in the top 10 among all seniors for GPA during Honors Day ceremonies at the University of Vermont. She is a student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sci- ences. Jeffrey Levinson displays at Bates exposition Jeffrey Levinson of Dallas, recently participated in the third annual Mount David Summit, a campus-wide expo- sition of student academic work at Bates College. Spon- sored by the Office of the Dean of Faculty, the summit is de- signed to celebrate intellectual life at Bates. A senior physics major and math minor, Levinson is a dean’s list student. He was a junior adviser for the 2002-03 academic year and a resident coordinator for the 2003-04 ac- ademic year. He was the presi- dent of Bates Hillel and a member of Sigma Xi and the volleyball club. A 2000 gradu- ate of Dallas High School, he is the son of Howard and Susan Levinson. Henry, Lawrence win Wandell Scholarships Wyoming Seminary gradu- ates Brigitte Henry of Shaver- town, Katelynn Lawrence of Dallas and Tess Drazdowski of Mountain Top received the Jennie Hess Wandell Scholar- ship Award during the school’s 160th Commencement. The award is given in recog- nition of the students’ academ- ic achievements and school leadership. Henry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Henry, was named to Cum Laude during Com- mencement. A Dean’s List stu- dent, she also received the President’s Educational Excel- lence Award, the Hamilton College Prize and the Edward Griffith Memorial Spanish Award prior to Commence- ment. She served as a writer and features editor for the school newspaper The Opina- tor and was president of the Spanish Club for two years. She also was active in Blue Key, Peer Group, Social and Gender Issues Forum, the Wyoming Seminary Orchestra (first chair violin), the PAPAS re-accreditation committee and Wilkes-Barre Junior Lead- ership. She also participated in softball and basketball and served as a manager for the girls tennis team. O'Reilly students win math and science awards Eleven students from Bishop O’Reilly High School in Kingston who reside in the Back Mountain earned math and science awards from the state meeting of the Pennsylvania Ju- ' nior Academy of Science (PJAS) at Penn State University. They were eligible for competi- tion as a consequence of having won first-place citations at the regional meeting of the PJAS, conducted earlier this year at King’s College.
