Audubon trip to see birds
The Greater Wyoming Valley
Audubon Society will be lead-
ing a field trip to the Montour
Preserve on Saturday, April 3.
The area is a wonderful loca-
tion to view various species of
waterfowl and a great opportu-
nity for both beginner and ad-
vanced birders. Two birding
blinds have been reserved to
provide the best chance to ob-
serve wildlife. Some walking is
involved, and participants
should bring a beverage, snacks
or lunch, binoculars, camera,
and appropriate clothing.

Program will honor Iraq soldiers
The Ladies Auxiliary Dallas Post 672 will host a "Remembering You in Candlelight’
program on Sunday, March 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to honor men and women serving in
Iraq. Cards, which will be sent to area servicemen overseas, will be available to those
with a family member or a friend serving in Iraq. There will also be remembrance can-
dles, which will burn for 120 hours. First Sargeant Steve Stempien of the 109th Field
Artillery Battery B in Nanticoke will also be in attendance to answer questions and to
take delivered messages.

The College Misericordia Chamber Concert
Series concludes the season with Musica Mis-
ericordia, performances by area musicians fea-
