to decorate the new Janet Weis
Children’s Hospital Pediatrics&
Unit at Geisinger Wyoming'
Valley Medical Center. The *
chosen art pieces will be pro-, ;
fessionally framed and matted ¥
with a plaque stating the
artist's name, age and home-
town. Children whose artwork
is chosen will also be invited to’
a special celebration later this
spring. :
Artwork should be fun, color-
ful and happy. The following.

Rocket club ready for takeoff
The Wyoming Seminary Rocket Club recently received a grant to fund its entry in the Team
America Rocketry Challenge to be held in April and May, 2004. The grant, provided by the
New England Section of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, will cover reg-
istration and rocket material costs. The club will compete in qualification flights in April and if
successful, will have an opportunity to participate in the Team America finals in May at The
Plains, Virginia.

Festival to be held from March! «
10-13. It will involve 164 stu-
dents from over 40 school dis-
tricts.
Because of the distance
many students must travel to:
attend this event, housing will
be provided by our community
for the duration of the festival.
Host families are needed for’
about 120 of the students. Each
host family will receive two
complimentary tickets to the
Saturday afternoon concert.
