and 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Genealogy
workshop Oct. 25
The Northeast PA Genealog-
ical Society and the Wyoming
Valley Chapter of the Daugh-
ters of the American Revolu-
tion will jointly host a or
gy workshop on Saturday,
October at the NEPA Society
library, 156 North Main St.,
Shavertown, with emphasis on
ancestors who were living at
the time of the Revolutionary
War and the formation of the
United States. Participants
should bring copies of perti-
nent documents which prove
their lineage from their Revo-
lutionary War ancestors.
The workshop will start at
10 a.m. with talks by NEPA So-
ciety and DAR representatives;
followed by a lunch break from
11:30 am. to 1 p.m. Partici-
pants may bring their own
lunches, or visit nearby eater-
ies.
From 1 to 3 p.m., DAR mem-
bers will give one-on-one help
and advice on the preparation
of pedigree charts and applica-
tions.
The workshop is free of
charge. Everyone is invited to
learn about the resources avail-
