Dallas School District to
rededicate Middle School
The Dallas School District will officially
rededicate the newly renovated Dallas Mid-
dle School on Sunday, August 10 at 3 p.m.
Over the past 24 months extensive addi-
tions and repairs have been made to the
building that was opened as a junior high
school in 1969. The comprehensive project
included complete updates to all class-
rooms, the gymnasium, library, kitchen
and cafeteria. Renovations to the music
wing integrate the expansion of the band
and chorus rooms as well as the addition of
a theory classroom and two student prac-
tice rooms.
New construction incorporates the addi-
tion of a new administrative and guidance
suite, two computer labs, a distance learn-
ing lab, a television studio, new art and
wellness classrooms, several conference
rooms, and a state-of-the-art natatorium.
The building will be open for tours im-
mediately following the rededication. The
public is invited to attend.
