Junior Girl Scouts
earn Bronze Award
Members of Junior Girl Scout Troop 2654, of Shavertown, recently
completed work on their Bronze Award by presenting a four-hour
program. at Shavertown United Methodist Church for over 70
Brownie Girl Scouts from the Back Mountain. The Bronze Award,
the highest a Junior Scout can earn, requires 15 hours of leadership
work by each scout. The girls developed a program that allowed the
Brownie Scouts to earn the Dancercise and the Sounds of Music
Try-its. The Juniors were responsible for planning, invitations, loca-
tion arrangements and program presentation. In addition, Katie
Confer and Sarah Szczucki, members of Junior Troop 2649, earned
the Leadership Award for their help with the program. Margie
Banks and Karen Pietraccini are leaders for Troop 2654.
